Call that Uber

I couldn’t think of a better way to start the year off than with a (potential, still fighting) DWI charge.. Well, it wasn’t the literal “start” of the year per se, it was January 23, the day after my brother’s birthday to be exact.  Not looking for sympathy by the way, life’s just funny sometimes. With all the expenses of life already and now court fees/lawyer fees, this adult-sized slip-up has reshaped my world entirely.

The convenience and freedom of having a car is something I may never take for granted again if things work out in my favor. While riding a bike everywhere seems a bit crazy, it’s doable with enough willpower. Combining biking and using the bus is also feasible, but you need to live close enough to the Raleigh border for it to be convenient. Where is even a hint of the start on the construction on the public railway systems that are supposed to be in place by 2035? I don’t see any progress. While the upgrades to our bus system are positive, why do we keep expanding roads, parking lots, and cars? When will we truly make an effort to reduce our dependency on automobiles?

Anyway, these were some of the thoughts running through my mind as I stared at my favorite whiskey bottle before capturing these spontaneous shots on my Fuji before the battery died (with minor tweakage in Lightroom).

Let’s Try It Out!

Hello! I’m Michee, and I’m embarking on my first-ever blog journey to enhance my communication skills and share my thoughts and photographic practices beyond social media. While I won’t over-promise on the frequency of my posts, I hope this initial step out of my shell leads to a full-on sprint. The blog will be a space for authentic self-expression, allowing me to connect with others who share similar interests. As I navigate this new venture, I aim to find my unique voice, set realistic goals, engage with my audience, use visuals effectively, and reflect on my personal and blogging growth. Join me on this exciting journey, and feel free to share your insights along the way!
